Great Plan Foster...all a women has to do is never get up and move in the real world...cons are soooo in touch with reality...

No foster in your day women were raped and kept their mouths shut about it, in your day you never cared to understand where women were getting their healthcare from, at the hospital or the back alley...

Don't worry about republican women...the majority of them are not far right ideologues as Bachmann and Palin, think more Olympia Snowe and Susan Collins...Conservatives are so alienating the biggest voting block in the nation, American Women , 57% voted Democratic in '08, I foresee 65% and over for President Obama in 2012

the video clip was just played by Sharpton. The fella was joking. For heavens sake, does every smile or comment have to be played up to be 'the sky is falling'.

More important is the sequence of clips he is showing regarding planned parenthood having over 70% of their facilities in poor black neighborhoods. Sharpton himself is black, and one would think he would be concerned that his nationality is the target.

Back in Friess' day they also burned 'witches' at the stake, thought the world was flat and that earthquakes were their neighbor riding his dinosaur to work. Mr Friess, you and Rick Santorum are true kindred spirits. My God, you haven't evolved yet enough to have achieved the level of 'primitive'.

Ya know my mother told my oldest sister that birth control was only effective if she used like that..lol

My sister used the pill the way the doctor told her. She graduated from college and married a good guy.....
Had a family and a life...I guess it could work both ways but I think a gal would get a crap holding them between her knees like that..

Like I said before, he probably used that line to get laid a lot. After all, the pill only came in the 60's, and this guy is well over 70 years old. Sometimes people with dementia get their memories mixed-up.

I am sure a lot of women believed him, and he has a lot of unkown children and grandchildren.

This man is around my age so what he said was not new to me. But it did cause a jolt and a 'HE DID NOT JUST SAY THAT?'

This was the refrain of by gone years. It is the woman who must keep her knees together at all times unless she is married and then she can never deny the husband his rights to her. Rape! Well that was her fault for being in the wrong place, or at the wrong time, or what she was wearing, or she smelled to good, or ....

At this time, it was the wrong thing to say because women are angry right now with those men who think they have a say or a right to dictate what is our choice and our health. No old, celibate, not of my religion, bachelor with no family is going to dictate to us what is best for us as women.

Beware men, you have awaken the sleeping dragon and she is great in number and will vote this year.

What's really sad is he negated the perfectly legitimate points* he opened with by going off to stupid-land with the aspirin as contraceptive quote.

* That it is RIDICULOUS to suddenly decide SUPPLYING "Free" contraceptives is more important than concentrating on our still hurting economy or legitimate threats to our national security like South of the Border Jihadist camps (for future clowns like U. bin Hidin') !!

    bestquest,

The fella was joking. For heavens sake, does every smile or comment have to be played up to be 'the sky is falling'.

A joke, huh? It was a very poor joke and demonstrates the disdain that GOTP men have for women. The MSNBC host sat in stunned silence after the comment.

More important is the sequence of clips he is showing regarding planned parenthood having over 70% of their facilities in poor black neighborhoods. Sharpton himself is black, and one would think he would be concerned that his nationality is the target.

Do you have even have a rudimentary understanding of PP's purpose is? From their website:

Planned Parenthood believes in the fundamental right of each individual, throughout the world, to manage his or her fertility, regardless of the individual's income, marital status, race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, age, national origin, or residence.

No one's race is being targeted. PP is locating their offices in the areas of greatest need. You should run for Congress. The GOTP is always looking for help in keeping these uppity women in their place.

Pacific Apple is right on target! Women from this guy's era were little more that slaves to their men. They were expected to put up with sexual innuendos from employers, from coworkers and from customers. Pregnancy was not allowed in the work place or in the class rooms, so pregnancy was a form of enslavement.

Just when you think we have come a long way, some dinosaur pukes out a stupid "joke" and sends heads spinning back to a time we thought was GONE.

Keep it up Teapublicans, women will rise up and vote your asses out!!

CCArm, Pacific Apple and you are both right on target!!!!!!! I am a retired RN and when I went to nursing school ions ago, one of the things we were "schooled" in was servanthood. What do I mean by that? One of the hospitals we did our clinical rotations in, taught that when a Physician entered the room where we charted, we were to get up and let him have our chair. Also we were given a list with the Drs. names and how they liked their coffee. We were to go and get it and set it by his chair, which he took from me and then go on. I could rant on and on about all the crap that I had to endure over the years because of just instances like this and because women were considered 2nd class citizens. When I had a tubal after the birth of our third child I even had to have my husband sign the permit saying he approved and was in agreement and gave the Physician and hospital doing this permission to proceed. Like I were property or a child. I now have 3 Grand-daughters 2 who are in College and 1 who is a junior in high school. I endured and worked hard so these young women wouldn't have to go through what I and my peers did. I have started a petition to Rep. Issa on www.change.org and ask any and all to go and sign it, asking that women have representation on ALL and ANY panels convened on contraception. It is time we stood and remember those who do this sort of thing and put a stop to it now!

I remember that "joke." It was popular when I was young and was used by those who always blamed women for becoming pregnant, as if there wasn't a second party involved. Of course, it couldn't be partially the fault of men cause if she'd just kept her legs closed, he couldn't have impregnated her.

That archaic thinking is apparently alive and well. Sad, isn't it? Sadder still that he'd be surprised others would be offended. Shows he hasn't grown in anyway in the past half century.

It's also scary because these men want to rule our nation.

I'm sure we can all believe that Mr Foster Freeze only had sexual relations whenever he and his partner thought it was time to make a baby. I'm sure even in his teenage years, bumbling around in the backseat of his parents car and coming before he got unzipped that he was trying to make a baby with the girl. I'm sure that he only uses Viagra/Cialis/Levitra for baby making purposes only....../s

Wait just a darned minute.....Foster has been married to the same woman for 50 years, so I'm sure he hasn't had sex in probably 25 years, since his wife would have been past the baby making age......

I'm starting to think we need laws stating that anti choice men should be locked into chastity belts. Force them to live by their rules for a while.and since they reject the constitution, they can't claim it's unconstitutional.

Foster Friess was joking, wasn't he? If he was, it wasn't funny. Obviously, he has a "one track misogynistic mind" and its "off the track" when it comes to birth control. If he wants to improve on his humorless sexist comments, he should stick his head in a hot pot of boiling water, it might make him smarter.

I'm sure that's all the birth control that would have been necessary if he were the prospective sexual partner. I wouldn't have even needed the aspirin. "Only in your dreams, bub," would have been my response. And then there's the great bumper sticker "Yes! But not with you!"

.....thank god once again I am with a liberal woman...I doubt conservative women do any of those.

I was sitting here reading all the comments wondering the same thing myself. and also wondering if that may just be where the problem lies. Are they so scared of a women who may actually enjoy sex and all. /shrug. I mean really would you... anyone, well normal anyone, want to have sex with someone who wasn't interested/nor enjoyed it?

And I love how your point was pretty much proven via above collapsed post.

My old lady loves sex...I love sex....and we both love to get freaky.

It seems that the right wing wants us all to have vaginal sex in the missionary position and pray before during and after the deed.

Maybe this weekend we will "get freaky" and clean the Santorum up with a picture of #3, pages from the new testament and the book of mormon...

Men need to give up condoms, vasectomies, and male hormone treatments before anyone should take them seriously about attacking women's rights over any female healthcare choitionsces. Hormone treatments for a variety of medical conditions should be covered without threats by right wing zealots.

We should get a bumber sticker going saying Santorum I've got asprins, use your hand. My husband laughed at the man's statement and now he can't figure out why i've stopped talking. All my life I've worked hard, been very frugal with purchasing stuff for myself, and haven't put him down because he is a diabetic for years now. Right now I'm really po'd not only at my husband but at any woman who thinks getting stomped on again by the double standard, male hyprocrisy, that we have endured for ever. They haven't figured it out yet that WE ARE EQUAL, we're not your slaves, not yours to abuse, or use. So ladies, girls, women, females all put a bottle of asprins on their pillows thats all they deserve until they can see us a equal human's and we deserve to be respected.
