After viewing Jesus BFF Mike Huckabee's not so inspirational Christmas message which, like his follow-up to his Newtown-was-caused-by-godless-Americans comment, was really an attack on godless Americans, there should be no question as to why more and more Americans are losing their religion! Rather than follow the supposedly Christian admonition to "turn the other cheek," minister Huckabee used his Fox News platform to further the Fox News war on Christmas by whining about and disparaging those whose alleged Christmas hatred is really, according to Huckabee, about their hatred of Jesus. But for Huckabee, fighting alleged and unspecified assaults on Jesus is just dandy because it allows him, and his Christmas crusaders, to wallow in a sense of Christian persecution and thus feel vindicated because they know that - ready for it - these evil doers hate Christmas because they really fear and loathe Jesus.
On Christmas Eve, Huckabee opened with the unfounded accusation that there is "hostility towards Christmas with lawsuits over songs, Christmas trees and nativity scenes by those who say that they're really offended by Christmas." But because we don't know what Huck is referring to (Ukranian woman suing Carly Rae Jepson over "Call Me Maybe?"), we can't say what the motivation is; but chances are it has something to do with trying to be inclusive or those pesky church/state issues. Huck asserted that this is "a good thing" because "open hostility to faith is far better than indifference." (Love that martyrdom!)
